Friends and Family VaCa - Destination Port A!

Yes, it has been a long time since we had this trip, but let's just say I have been kinda busy, haha!  Anyway, the millions of pictures that follow in this post are of the wonderful friends and family trip we took to Port Aransas, Texas at the beginning of August 2012.  The Brawley's suggested that we take a trip together and seeing that we both have small children, we decided to pick a beach with in driving distance.  We set out on the 9 hour drive there and we're so grateful that we decided to stay 5 days instead of 4!  Our kids did fairly well on the drive, but it did add two hours to our drive for potty breaks and meals.

When we finally got there, we really loved the place.  The town was so cute and our resort was right off the beach, so we could walk right up to it.  The kids were so excited, and this was Calvin and Kennedy's first time at the beach.  The kids loved the sand, ocean and pool the best.  The boys loved the skim board and night crabbing, there are pictures of it below.  The girls enjoying a tiny bit of reading, relaxing and sun...oh and cupcakes, they had the best little place in town!  We had some great meals both at the house and in town, I have decided I do like seafood if others make it, big step for me.  Our kids really play well together and that makes this that much better.  I hope that we get to do this again this year, maybe even try another beach.  Well enough talking, on to see the action! Check out all the pictures below.
