My Leap Day Baby Had A Birthday!

Check out the Birthday Party Post before this one!

Lincoln, you turned 4 on February 29th!  We have waited 4 long years for you to have a real birthday and it was totally worth it.  Someday you will understand that your birthday is special and that it only comes once every four years.  The odds of being born on leap day are 1 in 1461, so way to go buddy!  While you have been around for 4 years, you really only had one calendar birthday, so you are 1!  (but we have parties for you every year) You are the biggest and brightest one year old I know.  All kidding aside, your birthday if very special and someday when you are 40 you will be able to say you are really just 10, how cool will that be!

Lincoln, you have grown up so much in the past year and we are so proud of you.  You are so loving and sweet.  I love your dimples and I am glad they stayed around because they remind me of your great grandpa Hank.
What are you in to:
-Superheros!  All kinds, and imaginext are your favorite toys
-Playing outside, especially on your ship
-Making your sister laugh
-Asking why for everything, so inquisitive
-Counting, especially when it comes to food because you want to know how many more bites do you have to have before you get a Popsicle
-Playing soccer, you love to kick the ball
-Phineas and Ferb is your favorite cartoon right now
-You developed an aversion to vegetables sometime after you turned three, but you said that now that you are 4, you will eat some vegetables.  We asked you what kind, and you said corn but we have yet to see you do it, haha
-You love to sleep with tons of stuffed animals, sometimes I can't find you underneath them all!
-You love doughnuts, doesn't matter what kind, you are not picky!

Here you are with your birthday doughnut!

Mmm, sprinkles!

Since you only get an actual birthday once every four years, we wanted to make it special. Both Daddy and I took off work on your birthday.  We got up early and took Kennedy to school.   You kept asking why she didn't get to stay out with us, all day long, you really love her!

Our first stop of the day was to Chick-fil-A because they were giving free chicken minis for breakfast on your birthday!  Then you got to play in the playplace for an hour and loved it!  You wanted to go to "Ole McDonalds" for lunch and play some more.  After lunch we went and saw The Secret World of Arrietty and you sat through the whole thing, way to go!  It was nice to have your birthday on a Wednesday because no one was in the theater. After the movie you had a nice nap (yes you still nap, thank goodness!).  Daddy went to get K while you slept and when you got up it was time for Chuck-e-Cheese!!!

Here is K waiting at the table for some Chuck-e-Cheese Pizza, minus the cheese, since she can't have it.

Grandma and Grandpa, Bobby and Ryan all came out to have fun with you at C-e-C! You loved getting the tokens and putting them in every machine.  You got so many tickets thanks to Grandma and her skee ball skills.

This was K's first time to get on the rides, she was too young last time.  She was having fun going from one to another.

She even knew to put on her seat belt when she got in!

As if the junk food we had all day was not enough, haha, we ended with Nothin Bundt Cake cupcakes, yum!

Lincoln, you are just an awesome little boy, what can I say.  We love you and you surprise us with something new each day.  You have such a sweet spirit and we are enjoying watching you grow each day.  Happy Birthday little dude!!!

Spiderman 4th Birthday Party!

Lincoln (AKA Spiderman) hosted his 4th birthday party at Pump it Up on February 25th.  This place is awesome!  We went to Levi's 6th Birthday party here and he kept saying he wanted to have his party here.  We also asked him what kind of cake he wanted and he chose Spiderman, so we went with that theme for the whole party.  We all wore our Spiderman shirts and got ready to bounce!

Lincoln showing us his Spiderman pose!

Kennedy in her spiderWoman outfit.  Spidey got a bow!

Family Birthday Picture, we took like 5 and the kids were not looking in any of them, haha!

Kennedy wanted to be rolled in with Lincoln's birthday presents.  It was nice entertainment while we waited for our friends to come.

Ms. Paula came to help me get ready and entertain me and the kiddos!

What is a party without the grandparents!

K and Dad!

This place is so awesome, they have two huge rooms with different inflatable playhouses.  The first room was my favorite because it had a little bounce yard for the little kids that K just loved.  Lincoln loved the huge slides and to be honest so did K, she is a bit adventurous!  I have three dare devils on my hands now including Craig, I just hope they don't want to skydive like Daddy! Click on the collages to make them bigger.

The second room had a big obstacle course and that was fun, I did that a couple of times.  No reason to be embarrassed to be a big kid, right.  They need to have an adult bounce house party! Lincoln had fun playing around with his friends in the basketball bounce house.

We had a great turn out, I think around 20 kids!

A little brotherly love, he wanted to hold K during the picture.

The party room was last and it was perfect for the colors of Spiderman.  And that nice thing is that they set it up for you if you want them to.  The treats we brought where yummy strawberry cupcakes, spiderman cookies and yummy marble cake.  And Chick-fil-A of course!

All the kids were so excited to see what waited for them in the party room!!

Linc was so excited to sit in his big inflatable chair, he felt like a king!

After such a fun time bouncing, everyone was hungry for snacks!   Lincoln had fun hanging out in his chair with his friends.

Lincoln had such a great time at his party and talked about it for days.  He wanted to know what he was doing for his 5th birthday.  Boy does he like to party!!!  Thanks for everyone that made it such a special day.
