Texas Bluebonnets

Last Sunday we decided to go out and get some pictures of the kids in the bluebonnets.  I have wanted to do this every year, but have always missed them, they are only alive a short time.  This year I got Kennedy a cute Easter dress before she was born and wanted to have some pictures of her in it, so out we went.  It was a rater sunny and windy day, but we made the best of it.  Here is Lincoln enjoying the bluebonnets and being outside!

I kept telling him not to step on the flowers and what does he do, stomp on them.  I told him that we didn't want to crunch the pretty flowers and he finally stopped and got down to smell them.

Kennedy fell asleep on the short ride from our house to down the street so when we got her up she was so tired.

What a sweet sleeping baby!

Poor girl has allergies and one eye that waters when we are outside.  It was also sunny, so she couldn't get her eyes all the way open.

Pretty flowers, pretty baby!

Finally got a shot of them together.  It seems to get harder the older Lincoln gets.  He just wants to be an explorer and see how far he can get away from us, eek!

My sweet babies, muah!

hahaha!

I love her dress, wish they made it in my size!

I'm so glad to get some good pictures of a Texas tradition.

Kennedy is 7 Months!

On April 8, 2011, you turned 7 months old.  How can that be???  It truly has flown by and while I love watching you grow, it makes me sad to think you are getting so big so quick.  I love the little smile that you have on your face all the time unless you are hungry, sleepy or wanting attention.

What is new this month:
-I think you weigh around 18lbs and are pretty long, but I am not sure how much, I know you have grown
-You still wear a size 3 diaper and I am excited the pampers sensitive brought back the yellow strip in the front to know if you are wet in the bigger sizes!
-We are so thankful to our friends Emily and Tony for giving us all these great baby gap clothes again for size 6-12 months.  You have been wearing a lot of them already.  Of course, I still had to go out and get you some more cute outfits, it is so easy with girls!
-While you are big everywhere else, you have tiny chubby feet, so cute.  You can wear a size 2 in shoes and sometimes at 3-6 month in shoes.
-You are eating size one foods still and do both veggies and fruits.  You have slowed down your consumption at night, but still eat it during the day with Yong.
-You still nurse about 6-7 times a day and have had a few spoons of water.
-Your sleep was getting crazy again, so we had to do a bit of sleep training and you cried a few nights, once for a really long time, tear.  You are back on your 7pm-3am schedule and then back down from 3:30-7am ish.  It is good, but I am still getting up in the middle of the night, so we will see if we can make that better. Naps are still not great, I know I say every month we will get better, but I can't seem to get there.
-You got your first two teeth on March 23rd!  They are so cute and you have bit me once.  We stopped that right away!
-You have some fun new tricks like eating your foot, sounding like gorilla and waving your arms up and down.
-You love your family and smile at all of us.  You do have some separation anxiety creeping in, eeek!
-You still stay with "halmoni" (grandma in Korean) during the day and love it!
-You sit up so well all by your self, you even started taking baths without your small tub.
-No crawling yet, but you have pushed your booty up in the air a few times, you are just taking your time, no rush.
-I know there are more things, but really you just amaze us every day.  You think that would be hard since we have Lincoln, but you really forget all the special moments of the first year and it is so fun to relive them all with you, Kennedy!
-Your new favorite is to take off your bow and eat it!

Hi sweet thang!

Yes it is 6am and she is all smiles!

insert gorilla voice, haha!

Wanna see my new trick???

Look at me!  I can get my foot in my mouth.

It's a pretty good teether, ya'll!

I want to eat those toes, who wouldn't?!

I am such a big girl, I can sit in the slippery tub and not fall!

Workin on those fine motor skillz!

Mm, getting my water intake for the day!

We love you Kennedy Mae, you are so sweet and cute!  Keep the good times coming sister!

A Day Out With Thomas

Two Sunday's ago I had planned to have a jewelry party at my house.  I was searching for something to do for Lincoln when someone at work mentioned going to ride Thomas the Train that weekend.  I thought, what a perfect idea for Lincoln.  He loves trains and Thomas and I knew he would have a blast.  I used it as a bribe/good behavior reward the rest of the week and he was so excited!

On Sunday, Daddy and Lincoln drove over to Grapevine to have a day out with Thomas. My party was cancelled, so I decided to stay home and hang out with Paula and K.  My husband is a man of few words, so when I asked him how it went, all he said was "Good".  I am so glad I sent him with a camera to capture all the fun, it is the only way I knew what all he did with Thomas, haha!  Here he is getting ready to leave, it was kind of a chilly day!

They had a huge train track that everyone could watch!

There goes Thomas!

He even got to play with some trains!

Time to board the train!

Yay, they made it on!  He had a blast riding on the big Thomas Train!

What a cute little engineer

That is one big Thomas!

They had a few fun activities to do before and after the train ride.  Here is Linc in the bounce house, so fun.

They had a little mini petting zoo and he got to pet all kinds of animal.

How fun, brushing a goat!

He must have had a blast because he keeps talking about Thomas and asking where his train is.  He has also asked on several occasions to go back to see Thomas and when I get to go on him.  I am glad Daddy was able to take him on his fun ride with Thomas!
