Swimming with Pals!

I was totally behind as usual, so I just posted 7 blog posts!

We have had a few great swim dates this month!  First we headed out to Ridglea Country Club with the Brawley Family for some pool time.  They have a very nice large pool and a great beach entry kids pool. Kenny and Cal and all the kids had a great time.

Love her!

We also headed out to the Trophy Club Splash Pad and Pool with Jennifer and Caiden. This place is awesome, we went to a birthday party here last year. It is super kid friendly and really fun.

Caiden trying to find his cheese, where did it go?

Lincoln just relaxing his cares away, oh to be a kid again!

This girl loves the water!

This slide is fun to kids and adults both, I have to say that Jen and I went down a few times :)

But the best part of swimming has to be how well they nap afterwards!!!

Go Rangers!!!

For father's day, we got tickets to see the Rangers with our dads.  By the end of July, the game was finally here.  I had seen on Pinterest how to turn a t-shirt into a cute tank top, so off to Academy I went to get my t-shirt.  I found a cute vintage t-shirt and started clipping away.  It was pretty easy and you can find the tutorial here. It turned out pretty cute!

While it was great to have our dads to hang out with, Craig and I also found our selves kidless, so it was pretty relaxing for us as well!  Yes, that is a hot dog and garlic fries on my lap, why do you think I come to the game?

My dad and I, we had a great time and he enjoyed seeing the game.
Our view was pretty good and we were under cover, so that was good when it was super sunny!

Actually, this is the real reason I come to baseball games, funnel cake!

Family Trip to San Antonio Part 2

At Sea World, Lincoln kept saying he wanted to come back and go swimming.  So instead of doing anything else the rest of the time, we decided to stay at the hotel.  It had a beach, large pool, baby pool and lazy river.  They also had hourly kids activities you could participate in.  I enjoyed the nature trail and ran on that each day.  Here we are going to the morning activity.

Nature trail flowers, so pretty!

Running off some energy in the big courtyard!

One of the activities we did was to color a bandanna, the kids enjoyed this!

They also had a big playground that was right outside our hotel!

But as I said before, pool time was their favorite.

Lincoln loved it so much, that we had to stay through K's nap.

The beach was small, but a lot of fun.  It gave them a chance to play in the sand and jump in the water at the same time!  It kind of felt like you were at a real beach!

At night, they would have a movie in the courtyard.  Lincoln really wanted a light saber and one night we went and he only stayed 10 minutes because all he wanted was the saber, haha!

Lincoln also enjoyed his first pool drink, a virgin pina colada!

Another fun activity was to make homemade ice cream, yum!

We finished off the vacation with a visit to Mi Tierra on the Riverwalk, yum!  It was the cherry on top.

Overall it was a great vacation.  If we were to do it again next year, we might just stay at the hotel since all Linc wanted to do was swim.  We really did love the hotel!

Family Trip to San Antonio Part 1

In late July, we took our first family trip together to San Antonio.  We thought this would be a good first trip and Lincoln had been asking to go to Sea World for over a year.  We packed up all the stuff, I mean all of it, and headed out for our great adventure.  Good thing we have a big car!

They were pumped before we started to drive and Lincoln was already asking how long until we got to Sea World.  Here they are in the car on our way.

While San Antonio is normally a 4.5-5 hour drive, with kids we made it in 8, record time, haha!  We had to stop for lunch, for a snack and multiple potty breaks, but we did finally make it.  K did pretty good considering the long drive, she slept most of the way and was happy when she was awake.  Here she is at the hotel when we arrived, no shoes of course.

Kids get so excited by the smallest things and the thought the room was so cool!!  We stayed at the Hyatt Hill Country Resort and Spa and it was super awesome for kids.

The next day we headed off to Sea World early in the day and it was already blazing hot!

We all look sweaty in these pictures and that is because we are, who ever thought Sea World in July was a good idea was wrong, haha, of wait, that was me!

We stopped at the dolphin feeding tank first and Lincoln loved it.  But they don't give you many fish, so it goes really fast.  But it was still fun!

They are just so pretty!

Another sweaty picture, but the only family one, so I will take it.

They loved the shark tank, too cool.

Lincoln loved the Sesame Street Friends area the best.  It is like a huge jungle gym and he enjoyed climbing it with his Daddy.  K and I played in the splash area and she loved that.  Sea World is great, but it is a lot of sitting which is heard for my little crew, they want to go, go, go!
