Pics & The Tree!

Here are some random pictures from the past couple of days.  Kennedy got a new swing for when she goes to grandma's in a few weeks, well a week and a half really :( and :).  It makes me sad because I have to go back to work and miss sweet moments with Kennedy.  But it also makes me happy because someone we know and trust will be taking care of her.  Back to the picture, we needed a swing to go over there since ours broke.  She seems to like it for a short time, but has never feel asleep in it.

Now those are some cheeks, right!
He has to get his games in some how, haha!  Typical daddy daughter time, wink!

There are those cheeks again, can't get enough.

She will hate me when she is older, but those are some squeezable bulldog cheeks!

Saturday was put up the tree day.  Lincoln was really excited about this, which makes me excited that he is getting into the spirit.  From all the books we read he knows that Jesus is the reason for the season and when asked what he wants from Santa he will say "Jesus", it is too sweet.  Here is Lincoln helping decorate the Christmas tree.

Lincoln got to put the first ornament on the tree, he was so excited.  He moved it about 10 times and then it eventually ended up on our small tree.  I think he was having fun.

We had a lot to put up this year because we wanted to add more color to our tree.

In the middle of a replacement of his ornament!

It cracks me up when he smiles, he wants to show all his teeth!

Wanted to do tummy time with Kennedy.  He kept saying "I can roll over, watch"
Kennedy was more interested in eating her arm than rolling by this time!

Must have been a good shirt!

And the finished product!!! I think it turned out great this year and I am glad we added red to the tree, it makes it pop!  I can't wait to see everyone's tree.  Have a great Christmas Season.

Thanksgiving 2010

We have so much to be thankful this year.  At the top of my list is my healthy family and the birth of my baby girl!  What a great 11 weeks it has been so far with Miss Kennedy.  I love how she has evolved our family and the love she brings out in Lincoln.  He truly loves his little sister! Someday someone will be thankful that he is their husband because he is so loving.

This year we celebrated Thanksgiving at my grandparents in Plano.  As our family grows up we seem to add new members to the holiday each year.  This year my cousin got married, so his wife came.  My other cousin also started a new relationship so his girlfriend and her parents joined in.  Before you know it, our family is going to outgrow any house!

This year I got some really cute outfits made for Kennedy and Lincoln for the holiday.  Here is Kennedy all dolled up for Thanksgiving in her turkey dress.

Before we started all the festivities, Kennedy had to take a cat nap.  Bob provided some warm arms for her to nap in.  It is not often that I can say this about my brother, but how cute, haha!  I am very thankful for my brother.  Even though we are eight years apart and grew up as really only children because of our age, we are very close now and I love being around him.  Love you Bob!

My brother's family, Ryan and Ginger.  Ryan is growing up to fast, he turned 15 today!

My sweet baby, he just woke up from a nap :)

Ginger and her main squeeze, Linc!

This is the whole crew with my grandparents in front.  Thanks for hosting grandma and grandpa!

Our family minus K, she had to go in because it was cold!

 Dad, Mom and Lincoln!
Me and my first baby!

Nap number 3 with fingers up the nose!  What can I say, she is a sleeper!

She had enough, no more pictures.  Lincs expression explains the mood, haha!

Look at the cute booty!  I want to gobble it up.

Look at my sweet baby girl, all better!

I think she is thankful for her mommy, daddy and Lincoln!

Two Months!

Kennedy, you turned two months on November 8th!  We have been so busy, I am just now getting around to posting about it.  I took pictures on your 8 week birthday, here you are!

I made this onesie for you before you where born.  It has a K on the front and a G on the back!

Here you are showing off one of your new tricks this month, rolling from front to back.

You did it!

You also got a fun lamb for your 8 week birthday that helps you like your paci more!

Now for your stats and how you have grown:
-You weigh 12lbs and 8oz (95%), I love your little rolls!
-You are 24 inches long (95%)
-You have a big head and it is also 95%
-You wear size 2 pampers now, and we have to stick with the sensitive because you will get a diaper rash otherwise
-You wear mostly 3-6 month clothes now, no more newborns :(
-You can roll from front to back and sometimes like tummy time
-Daddy thinks your eyes are brown, but I still see a little dark blue or green around the rim
-You had two nights where you slept for a six hour stretch and two nights of a 5 hour stretch!
-Naps are still hard for you, you mostly have to be in our bed, arms or in the car seat.
-You get up about 2 times a night because you want to go to bed at 7 like Lincoln!
-You don't like your bouncy seat, but seem to tolerate the swing for a bit, you would rather be in someones arms or on the flat floor
-You nurse about 9-10 times a day and are a slow nurser still
-You took a pumped bottle and didn't do well again, so we are going to try new bottles
-You smile like crazy now, but I don't have a lot of pictures of it
-You started to laugh a little and talk a lot!
-You look like the girl version of Lincoln everyday
-You are holding your head up so well that we have been able to put you in the bumbo a few times
-We think you have perfected the scream.  Anyone that goes out with me can find me because of your cry, haha!
-Most of all we love you so much and are happy to see you grow and thrive everyday.  Thank you lord for bringing us this precious little girl!

Here are some pictures of the past couple of weeks.  Here she is at my work program graduation all dolled up!

Being a wild child!

Smile!

Her bow fell over her eyes and she feel asleep, haha!

Daddy Love!

This is the way Craig can get her to sleep.  We have not figured out how to transfer her from this position!

First time to wear shoes, and they are cupcakes, so cute!

Tomorrow she will be 10 weeks!  She is getting so big so fast, time slow down!

Caiden's Baby Shower

Last Saturday, we had a baby shower for Jennifer and baby Caiden.  I have been so excited about this shower and for Jen and Mike to welcome their first child!  I met Jennifer in our college sorority and we have been friends ever since.

For this shower, I was in charge of decorations, the cake and a few games.  Who knows why I took on those tasks right after having a baby since decor is the most time consuming, but it turned out great and I am so happy.  I think I get a bit carried away when it comes to the decor, haha!

There were a bunch of hosts for her shower, Jen's mom, Mike's mom, Katie (old work friend), Adrienne (college friend) and I.  Katie and Adrienne did the food and favors, yum.  Here is the room where all the food was set up.

The fun poms I made, they are an easy way to make a room pop!

Close up of the cake.  I got it from Treat Me Sweet and it was amazing.  The almond flavor Jennifer loved and the raspberry filling topped it off!

Adrienne made all these cookie favors by hand.  They tasted like cookie bouquet cookies, yum!  She is super talented!

Food spread minus the orange sherbet punch!

Close up of the banner I made, it turned out great!

I love diaper cakes, so I figured I could make one for her as part of her gift.  I also wanted to make her a blanket.  After I picked out the fabric, I knew I had to use those colors as the decor theme, they were so cute!  Here is her diaper cake, the blanket comes up in the pics later.

Here is one of the games we played.  It was a hard one, no one got all of them right, haha!

Cute little C!

I found this frame at Hobby Lobby and had to get it.  It went great with both the shower colors and the nursery theme, jungle!  We had everyone write down advice in a book for her.

Front door sign I made.  I love it, but I wish it would not have curled in the sunlight.  I will have to work on that.

The guest of honor, Jennifer (and baby Caiden)!

Jennifer with Adrienne, the yummy cook!

Mike's mom, Rita and Jennifer playing the toilet paper game!

Look at all that loot!  They really did get a lot of great stuff, so blessed!

Opening some gifts!

Jen, Kennedy (in the wrap) and I.

Here is the blanket I made!  I had a friend monogram it for me so it would look really nice.  I didn't get a pic of the other side, but it is just the other brown fabric you saw on the diaper cake.

Jennifer, Diana, Kennedy and I (all in Zeta together).

Diana holding Kennedy!  She is hoping to have a girl someday!

Here we are at the end of the shower.  It was such a great time that I didn't even realize we had been there for over three hours.  Kennedy was a such a good girl and I got to decorate when I got there and then went to sleep during all the present opening.

I can't wait to meet baby Caiden.  He will be here in January 2011!!!  Congrats Jen and Mike!
