Linc and his Easy Bake Oven

When my parents and grandparents were asking me what to get Linc for his birthday, I wanted to think of something really fun.  One day at work someone mentioned an easy bake oven and I knew that Lincoln just had to have one.  I just know how much he enjoys helping me when I bake, and I bake a lot, and I thought this would be a fun way for him to make mini versions of it.  Yes, he is a bit young for this "ages 8 and up" toy, but I enjoy making it with him.  In a way, it is a toy for both of us and what is so bad about that?!
It is so cool and retro!

Introducing future bakery owner - Lincoln Gabbard

Checking it out!

Yes, he uses real butter so you know his treats will be good!

Mix it up!

Easy peasy, now ready to bake!

Good cooks always taste the batter, I taught him that.
Time to shove it in.

"Where did it go Mommy?"

Longest 12 minutes in Linc's life, but it finally baked.

It is so amazing what only a 100W light bulb can do.  Makes you wonder?

Cooked and Iced all by him self (with a dash of Mom's help)

Time to taste the masterpiece

Sneak in a quick pic of K and Daddy

Lincoln loved it and ate the whole thing!  He really is my child and I say that because he may not eat all his dinner, but will surely finish all his dessert!

Thank You Great Grandma and Grandpa, it was super fun and we can't wait to make more!

All great bakers and chefs had to start somewhere, right!

Photo Shoot for the Family

With Lincoln turning three and Kennedy turning six months, it was time to take pictures again.  I love to get pictures done.  I love to pic out the outfits and think of places to go.  As everything has gone these past few months, I was getting items for this shoot up till the last hour.  We got lucky with great weather this time.  Jennifer Matlock took our pictures again and I just love spending time with her, she is such a fun lady!

This is a long post, but she got some great shots and I wanted to be able to share them all, enjoy!

This was the hardest shot to get, Lincoln didn't want to be next to the "dangerous" closet, haha!

I love my sweet little man!

I just love her smile!
That is a smile!

Just makes my heart melt!  They really do love each other.

Someone was tired of this spot and these clothes!

That's much better.

Kennedy needed a change too.

I just love bonnets and I think she does too!

Love those eyes.
What baby doesn't look cute in a tutu and pearls.  I love this strawberry tutu, it will be great when she is older and wants to be a ZTA, haha!

Well that was a great shoot, can't wait to get them printed and put up!

Lincoln's 3rd Birthday - Race Car Party

Check out the latest 3 posts!

For his third birthday, I really wanted to have it at a place and not our house.  I thought about going to this bounce house place that close to the mall but when I started to plan I found out it was closed.  From there I got it in my mind that his birthday had to have a bounce house involved no matter what we did.  Well then I had Kennedy and all party plans went out of my mind.  So it felt like last minute that I had to decide what to do for Lincoln's party.  He has been into cars lately so a Race Car Party it was!

I did a lot of looking around on other blogs for some good ideas and his party became a culmination of those ideas with a sprinkle of my own!  All in all it was a great party for being thrown together last minute and best of all Lincoln loved it.

My favorite item of the party was his cake!  I loved the look of real grass and highway on the top.  His name coming out like the Hollywood sign just made it perfect. 'Happy Birthday Lincoln!'

More pictures of the cake, like I said I love it!

Cake table all set up!

We also had bundtinis for the kids on the go...chocolate chip and lemon, yum!

Race flag cookies were the best.

The food table.

The main event.  Craig pointed out that no matter what games you plan to play at a party, if you have a bounce house that is all they will want to do and he was right.  This thing was huge!  It was a bounce/boxing ring/basketball/slide house.  It was the best!

More decorations, the banner I made that says Lincoln Is Three with the roof of an MR2 Spider in the background.  The part was from an old car Craig's dad was restoring.

Our "stolen" hubcaps.  Everyone kept asking if we took them off someones car, haha!

Lincoln loved the bounce house so much!

"I'm Three"

Kennedy was such a good girl and got to hang out with all her grandparents!

Lots of friends!

Craig made a racetrack for all the kids and we gave cars as the party gifts for them to race down the track.  It was a hit!

Niki, Maria and Brian enjoying the beautiful day!

Miss Ella Resse and her new walking skills!

Boston just turned 3 as well!

Time for cake!

Lara holding Maria's baby Evan.  Looks natural on you Lara!

Great grandpa and K! Great picture.

Chad holding Calvin, Niki's little baby!

Adults want to have fun too, go Craig!

Linc wasn't so sure about that, haha!

Avery and Ollie having a blast!

Lara and James at the Track!

Present time, yipee!

He got a lot of cool stuff including this bike and an Art Easel and an Easy Bake oven from all his grandparents!

He had a wonderful birthday and really understood it this year which was way fun.  He keeps asking if it is his birthday everyday we gets home and wants his bounce house back.  Happy Birthday Big Boy!
